Sites: Designated grassed area not far from the bar and side of the race track near power boxes. Some shaded area. No water connection (or sullage). Tap and hose nearby.

Amenities: Male and female amenities with flushing toilets. Disabled access. Separate cubicles for hot showers.

The nearest public dump point is in Lindsay St, Katherine in a vacant block behind the Information Centre - GPS: 14 27 52 S 132 16 03 E

Comments:
This is a golf and turf club and the Pine Creek Cup was to take place on 8/5/10 and we imagine it could get crowded for that event.

While in the area take a drive around historic Pine Creek see the old buildings and railway station. A trip up to the Mine Lookout (GPS 13 49 37 S 137 49 55 E) is worth it for a view but caravans are not permitted as it is steep and fairly narrow.

We took a drive out to Umbrawarra Gorge Nature Reserve (GPS 13 57 55 S 131 41 52 E) which is about 22kms from Pine Creek. The turnoff is just south of Pine Creek and the majority of the road out to the reserve is gravel. If you are a person who enjoys getting away from it all it would be worth an overnight stay in the small campground at the reserve. See separate review.
